The two charming villages remain totally unspoilt and boast a long tradition of hospitality and friendliness.
The pretty traffic-free village of Wengen is accessed by a quaint mountain railway, whilst Grindelwald is dotted with chocolate box chalets, yet the centre has a bustling and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Wengen was in fact the first place in the world to erect modern ski lifts.
