Kaprun is one of the most popular resorts in Austria. Set at the foot of the breathtaking Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, it offers an excellent range of pistes, including high altitude pistes with guaranteed snow, with the lift pass covering the Kaprun areas and Zell am See too (connected by regular ski bus).
The ‘Optimum’ Sports Centre is the pride of the village, with its fantastic facilities. Combined with a wide variety of bars and restaurants, Kaprun has lots to offer. Kaprun consists of 2 separate ski areas – the area around the town, and the glacier ski area.
To get from the Kaprun town and ski area to the ski area on the glacier, one has to catch a bus to the bottom of the cable car leading to the glacier.

Shops – lots of clothing and equipment shops, curios, mini-markets for food and essentials. The banks and ATM machines make life easy.
Night life – try the apres ski bars, pubs and more. For the youngsters there are the many disco’s and clubs.
Adventure sports – there is walking, paragliding, indoor pools and X country skiing.
Restaurants abound, with all sorts of diners in town, as well as many mountain restaurants for skiers to enjoy.
If you are bored with skiing we will arrange excursions for you to places like Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck etc!
